Here is a description of FEMA Course PER-334:
This course is designed to teach and encourage community members impacted by a disaster to prepare, take preservation actions and perform, as appropriate, light search and rescue response to aid their family and other community members in the immediate aftermath of a natural disaster or human-made incident. This course is not intended for the professional responder however would be beneficial for the responder's family. The training does not qualify the participants to serve in an emergency responder role.
Again, this is a unique opportunity that the Mesa East Stake has created for our local communities. If you have an interest in emergency preparedness, do not pass up this opportunity to participate in a FEMA certified course presented by emergency management professionals and with absolutely no cost to you.
Updates will follow in the coming weeks. In the meantime, a copy of the course flyer is attached for you to review and share as needed.
