VEX call for volunteers

VEX Volunteering opportunities coming soon: December 1st AND 8th; Volunteers are needed!

If you or someone you know would like to volunteer please fill out the form below with your information and desired roles! For more information on the various roles please check out the link at the bottom of this email.

 

Events:

December 1st, 2018 – VEX EDR (middle & high school students using erector set – style robots)

December 8th, 2018 – VEX IQ (elementary & middle school students using lego – style robots)

March 9th, 2019 – VEX IQ Middle School Championship

We are especially interested in the following roles:

Judge (requirements: age - adult, some technical or teaching experience is expected)

Referee (requirements: age - high school to adult, some VEX experience is a plus)

Queuing (requirements: age - high school to adult, no experience is needed)

 

Coffee, breakfast, lunch, water, and some snacks will be available to all volunteers.

 

The following is a typical public schedule for the events, depending on your volunteering role, we may ask you to be earlier (7:30am):

In the Cafeteria

Free and open to the public

 

When:    Saturday Morning on the above dates.

8:00                         Doors open

8:30 – 9:45             Design Judging, Inspection, and Skills matches

9:45 – 10:15          Drivers’ Meeting

10:30 – 12:00       Qualifications, skills challenges and Robot Design Judging

12:00 – 12:45       Lunch break

12:45 – 3:00         Qualifications, skills challenges, and judging resumes

3:00 – 3:30           Robot and Programming Skills Matches

3:30 – 4:30           Finals

4:30 – 5:00           Closing Ceremonies/Awards
